CLF stands for Creative Lab Festival. 

It is an ARISA Foundation project that brings together artists, scientists, educators, makers, hosts, families, students, researchers, performers, neighbours and curious people. 

CLF exists because many people are moving too fast. We want to create moments where people can slow down, pay attention and find meaning in ordinary life. 

At CLF, the city becomes a lab. A table can become a classroom. A walk can become an artwork. A conversation can become research. A small moment can become a doorway. 

This theme is open on purpose. You can interpret it in your own way. Your event can be artistic, scientific, playful, reflective, social, sensory, quiet, loud, tiny or huge. It can be a dinner, a performance, a walk, a workshop, a lab, a reading circle, a listening session, a community ritual, a family activity, an exhibition, a conversation or a small gathering with friends. 

CLF is a living lab for art, science, wellbeing and everyday life. It exists to help people notice the world more deeply, connect with each other more honestly and make space for creative ways of learning, feeling and being. 

CLF is for people who are curious. 

It is for artists, designers, scientists, teachers, students, families, performers, wellness practitioners, community builders, small businesses, neighbourhood groups, institutions and anyone with a thoughtful idea. 

You do not need to be famous. 

You do not need to have a huge venue. 

You do not need to create something complicated. 

You do not need to be a professional artist or have any specific artistic or scientific background. 

You do need to care about people, accessibility, inclusion and the spirit of the festival. 

Hosting under CLF means you create your own event and connect it to the wider Creative Lab Festival 2027 calendar, theme and community. 

CLF is not taking over your event. 

CLF is not necessarily producing your event for you. 

CLF is offering a shared theme, shared visibility, shared language, shared values and a common calendar where audiences can discover what is happening across the city.
